....the voice of an angel run over by a whiskey truck ”

— Kootenay Rocks

May Davis is an emerging singer-songwriter relocated from Revelstoke, British Columbia to the beautiful Ottawa Valley.  Her unique and unforgettable sound pulls from blues, Americana and old-time country western with smokey vocals that echo vintage crooners like Bobbie Gentry and Janis Joplin, but the unforgettable stories and songs she brings to the stage are all her own. In 2021, Davis released her first full-length album which she showcased on her fruitful May in July summer tour in 2022.  With the support of CreativeBC she released three new singles and a deadly music video for her bluesy murder ballad, Black Widow in 2023.  Davis recently supported notable bands including Frazey Ford, Elliot Brood and Shred Kelly while headlining Kaslo Jazz Etc. Festival, Blue Heron, Summer Sounds and Tiny Lights.  She has plenty more tricks up her sleeve for 2024 so buckle up and stay tuned!

Notable performances include Kaslo Jazz Etc. Festival (2022), Tiny Lights Festival (2022), Summer Sounds (2022), Blue Heron Festival (2021) , Lethbridge Folk Festival (2021), Guerrilla Gigs (2021) Revelstoke Street Festival (2019) and VIA Rail Artist on Board (2019).  Opening act for Elliot Brood, Shred Kelly, Frazey Ford, Meghan Nash, The Breakmen, Le Vent Du Nord, and Scott Cook.
